This Panel Discussion Event is a collaboration with Faculty of Creative Industries (FCI); International Institute of Media (IIM); Centre for Modern Languages and Literature (CMLL); Centre for Media and Communication Research (CMCR); Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR); Partium Christian University, Romania (PCU); and The Third Degree (TTD).

Beyond Fear: Constructive AI Integration in Universities Generative AI is often described as the “Pandora’s Box” of our time because, once opened, its consequences are difficult—perhaps impossible—to contain. Like the mythological box that released both suffering and hope into the world, generative AI has unleashed extraordinary possibilities alongside serious risks. It is transforming how people create art, write code, conduct research, and communicate, while simultaneously raising concerns about misinformation, job displacement, privacy, and the erosion of trust. 

This international discussion brings together experts from Asia and Europe to help universities use AI tools ethically. The panel will explore how to guide students, build realistic university policies, and integrate AI into higher education in a transparent and honest way.
